What is in the report of a diving inspection

  • 1 min read

Only a diver sees the underwater part of a berth or a pier. The report after the inspection shows its condition to the owner, and it is the basis for the structure’s certification and its repair plan.

What we look at on the structure

We inspect the underwater part to the requirements of classification societies. We record damage and fouling and measure the remaining thickness of steelwork and sheet piles by ultrasound.

What we look at around it

Along with the structure we survey the seabed next to it. We take soundings of the adjacent water area and search it for foreign objects.

What the report holds

  • Depth charts.
  • Positions of the damaged areas and of foreign objects in the water area.
  • Profile sections by chainage.
  • Photos and video of the damage.

Watching the inspection live

The diver shoots digital video streamed over ON-LINE TV. The client watches the picture on the surface in real time, without waiting for the report.

Who recognises the inspection

The Shipping Register of Ukraine has recognised the company for diving inspection of the underwater parts of structures, soundings and underwater engineering. The certificate is on the Certificates and permits page.
