How we prepare a dive deeper than 12 metres

  • 2 min read

Our dives deeper than 12 metres always go with a certified diving physiologist and our own decompression chamber on site. The rest of the preparation starts long before we leave for the job, with documents, medical checks and training.

The physician and the chamber

A dive deeper than 12 m is attended by a certified medical officer, a diving physiologist. Without one we do not start such a dive.

Our own chamber stands on site, rated for a working pressure of at least 1 MPa (10 kgf/cm²). This is what the uniform safety rules for diving work require.

Air from our own compressors

We fill the breathing cylinders with our own compressors. They run under a permit of the State Labour Service, issued on an expert opinion. Other pressure equipment is operated under the Service’s permits as well.

Yearly medical checks

Every diver passes a medical, a narcological and a psychiatric examination each year under order No. 246 of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine of 21 May 2007. The results are entered in the divers’ medical books and confirmed by certificates of a specialised clinic.

Yearly training

Each year the divers are trained in the uniform safety rules for diving work and the rules for operating pressure vessels. The training is confirmed by test records, certificates and entries in the divers’ personal books.

The papers behind the work

High-risk work is done under a Declaration of Conformity registered with the State Labour Service of Ukraine. The declaration and the permits are on the Certificates and permits page, and everything on safety at our sites is on the Health and safety page.

Order diving work

Call the office or write to us in a messenger. We will ask about the job and agree the dates and the price.
